Phillies Phun!

Last night the three of us enjoyed a Phillies game! For Brent's Father's Day gift we got tickets to see the Phillies play the Mets. What a great game. Benjamin was very excited! Chase Utley a favorite player of his came back to play after being injured. He even hit a home run. The night was complete as the Phillies won 9-2. And the excitement doesn't stop there. Tomorrow morning at a very early 3:30am we will be leaving for BWI to board a plane to "the place

where dreams come true" Disney World! Quite honestly I am beside myself! I cannot wait! We will be returning late next Monday night. I'll be sure to post pics after we are back. Until then, take care all!

We're going to the zoo, zoo, zoo; how about you, you, you?

Sorry, I just could resist on the title of my post. If you know who Raffi is, he has this song called Going to the Zoo. On a side note, I recommend Singable Songs For The Very Young. It has some really fun songs. Benjamin loved the CD as well as my preschool classes when I was still teaching. Enough said on that. Saturday Brent, Benjamin, and I along with my parents, my brother and his family went to the Philadelphia Zoo for the day. We had a lot of fun. The cousins had fun spending time with each other and checking out their favorite animals. We were bummed that the new tiger cubs were sleeping when we were there. Oh well, there were plenty of other animals to see! Thanks for a fun day family!

It's time for corn...at least for some of us

Last week we did corn with my family on probably one of the hottest days of the summer! However, we have nothing to complain about as we husked corn in the air conditioned shop office! My mom cooked the corn in the shop and then brought it inside to cut off. It was a fun day with my parents, sister-in-law and her kids. As you can see the boys some how got out of husking the 20 dozen of corn. They had fun swimming in the pool. They were however around when it came time to tasting the corn. Boy was it sweet and tasty! I know we will all enjoy our corn this winter! Thanks!
