What an exciting weekend! The travel team Benjamin is on... the Warwick Cardinals played in a tournament this past weekend. They lost their first game on Saturday. The second game went into 3 extra innings to determine the winner... we were happy to squeak that win out. Sunday we won our first game which put us up against the number 1 seeded Donegal team. This team is undefeated in their regular season play. Our boys played their hearts out! We ended up winning 11-10. Benjamin was the first batter up at the bottom of the 6th. He hit a single to get himself on base. The 3rd batter up hit him home for the winning run. Oh, and he was brought in to pitch the bottom of the 5th... 1 out bases loaded. I was in need of some serious heart medicine for that! Third base made a double play to keep them in the game. Benjamin finished out the 6th inning.. one strike out and then 2 other outs on the field by his team. What a day! So proud of you Benjamin and team! Thanks to our faithful fans... the grandparents!!!

Well as you can see from my many blog posts... it's been busy around our household (that and the fact that I was waaaay behind on them)! Preschool is over for Alissa, she just finished her last swimming lesson (we are planning on some more this summer. She made great progress, but has a long way to go), we've been to the strawberry patch, enjoyed many baseball games, and are looking forward to Benjamin's last day of school! June 16th can't come quick enough. Bring on summer!

More May Celebration

May 28th was my birthday and we celebrated it that weekend. We enjoyed fun times at the beach that weekend with friends and then had a fun celebration on Monday. I am looking forward to a weekend away with Brent that he planned along with a day of sailing with friends. The kids were so excited to give me my present as well.... a kitten. We are looking forward to the new addition to our family in a couple of weeks. Brent even had a b-day cake for me... complete with a kitten on it. He's the best!

Such a blast! We enjoyed our annual trip to Ocean Pines... in MD for Memorial Day Weekend with our friends... Hurst Family and Horst Family. Umbles... we missed you this year! We had a weekend full of fun... go-karting, mini-golfing, swimming off the dock, seafood, more seafood, and a beautiful day out on the beach! We had perfect weather! So much fun, so many great memories! Thanks Hursts for hosting us again this year!!!

Alissa graduated from the 4 year old preschool class in May. She had a wonderful year of learning new things, meeting new friends, and having fun too! It was a great year for her. Alissa we are so proud of you and all that you learned this past year!

Celebrating Benjamin's birthday the 4 of us!

Benjamin turned 11 on May 16th! Not sure were these past 11 years went... they flew by that is for sure! We had a fun weekend of celebrating. We had family over Friday night to celebrate. Saturday we spent the day at the Black Rock Auction and then celebrated in the evening. We are looking forward to a fun family vacation at the end of the summer that we surprised both Benjamin and Alissa with (her b-day gift too... early!) Sunday his actual birthday we had burgers on the grill... his meal request. It was off to baseball practice in the evening... celebrating with his team by sharing cupcakes with them. The next weekend he had some buddies over. They had fun at Laser Dome playing laser tag and sleeping over too. What a great group of boys! Happy Birthday Benjamin. We love you and are so proud of you!!!

Preschool Carnival

Alissa had a fun time at her Preschool Carnival earlier in May. It was a fun morning of games and prizes. Her favorite prize.... her very own water bottle. She was excited to have her own water bottle now.... just like big brother!

Weekend at the Cabin

Early in May we enjoyed a weekend at the cabin as a family. We enjoyed hiking, "Willy" jeep rides (yes, the jeep has a name), fishing, turkey hunting (just the boys did that), and having some great family time!
