This morning we woke up to snow showers! Everyone in the house was excited. We are pretty sure that Alissa has never seen snow before. She is from the southeastern area of China. The area has palm trees and mountains. The weather reminded us of FL. I opened the sliding glass door for her to check it out. You can see that in the PJ's picture. We ended up running an errand this morning, but after that we came home and went out on the deck. We tested it out first...pic with no coat. Don't worry Grandmas, I did put a coat on her then...see the pics for proof! :-) She wanted one of my containers and a spoon. She had a blast scooping it up! All these firsts are so much fun! Gets me in the mood for Christmas! Sadly the snow is almost gone already. Oh well, I'm sure there will be more this winter to enjoy!

I am sure that was soooo much fun for her. We have also had our first snow (2 of many more inches to come this winter). That is the part that I don't like about Michigan!! Yes, we all have a lot to be thankful for this Thanksgiving. We are just staying here and having dinner with just the 4 of us. We will be going to WV for Christmas and may also go see my brother whose wife just had their first baby today. They also just live 15 minutes from the Allen' so we also want to visit with them and little Alyssa. She had a heart cath this week to repair the hole in her heart. She is doing fine and should recover quickly. I love reading your blog. Do you have anyone else's blog sight?
Ryan says HI! back to Benjamin. He enjoyed the snow this evening. Our homeschool group (about 30 kids) got together for a party tonight and they played outside in the snow for about 2 hours. Life in Michigan - SNOW, SNOW, SNOW!! Carissa and I stayed inside where it was warm.
