Not sure who was more excited... Benjamin or Pop Pop!
The Big trophy!What an exciting weekend! The travel team Benjamin is on... the Warwick Cardinals played in a tournament this past weekend. They lost their first game on Saturday. The second game went into 3 extra innings to determine the winner... we were happy to squeak that win out. Sunday we won our first game which put us up against the number 1 seeded Donegal team. This team is undefeated in their regular season play. Our boys played their hearts out! We ended up winning 11-10. Benjamin was the first batter up at the bottom of the 6th. He hit a single to get himself on base. The 3rd batter up hit him home for the winning run. Oh, and he was brought in to pitch the bottom of the 5th... 1 out bases loaded. I was in need of some serious heart medicine for that! Third base made a double play to keep them in the game. Benjamin finished out the 6th inning.. one strike out and then 2 other outs on the field by his team. What a day! So proud of you Benjamin and team! Thanks to our faithful fans... the grandparents!!!
