Another Great Day!

It's Sunday Sept 14th 10:00pm here in China as I post. Last night we saw a really cool Chinese Acrobatic show. It was so amazing. We didn't realize the human body could bend in so many directions! Afterwards we headed out with some other families to try a local Chinese restaurant. It was an experience. Check out the pics above. Shrimp with eyes and their legs! They weren't to bad as long as you could get past the pop of the eyes and the crunch of the legs!
Today we started out with a tour to the Cloisonne factory. We got to see how they make this amazing copper pottery. It was so cool. Afterwards we headed to the Great Wall. Wow and Wow! The pics just can't do it justice. Benjamin was the famous one out on the wall today. He had a Chinese person come up and call him a rockstar. They kept coming up to him and handing us their camera for a picture. A total hoot! Those of you that know Benjamin well, know that's not his thing--all that attention. Afterwards we went to the Jade Factory had lunch and then time for shopping. We finished our touring by driving through the Olympic village. We weren't able to get out. Sorry no Water Cube water to bring home Michelle!
We did get some pics from the bus. Tonight our group decided not to venture out for dinner. We had Pizza Hut delivered to the hotel--not to bad. Tomorrow is our last day in Beijing. We are going to the Forbidden City and then a Hutong tour. Two more days until we finally meet Alissa! Honestly they have kept us so busy the time is flying by. We'll try and post again tomorrow night--last night from Beijing. Well that's all for now. Thanks again for all your prayers and comments. So much fun to read. Take care everyone!!!

Wasn't the Great Wall just amazing?! Looks like you have some really nice pictures of the Wall and China's people. The cloisonne was fun to watch being made, too! We weren't able to see anything at the Olympic Village last Dec. Have fun at the Forbidden City tomorrow! You're in our thoughts and prayers. Only 2 more days :)

Hi Kreiders,
Thanks for the update. I guess I should plan on heading to work tomorrow since Michael Phelps is not going to make us rich! We were in amazement at those pictures. Amanda said the shrimp looked gross! Matt said to tell Benjamin to "Rock ON". What superstar were they thinking he was? Safe travels and we look forward to your next update! Hard to believe that you can now count the HOURS until Alissa is in your arms!
Love and smiles,

WOW - the pictures are amazing. I was not at work all weekend (where I have the site loaded) and I thought about you alot, wondering what was being posted, I was dying to get in there this morning! Then your Mom called last night and she filled me in. The purchasing of the pearls thru me over the edge, tears began flowing again. Does the rock star have any groupies still following? That is so funny! Yes, Kristen, it is finally here, soon time to hold YOUR daughter in YOUR arms. My best to you all, God's blessings as the days get closer to meeting Alissa. Love, Tracy
