One Last Update...

Red couch picture

Officially ours! After our consulate
appointment and getting our visa

Well this post is a rather bittersweet one. While we are so excited to return home it is sad to leave Alissa's country and the friends we have made on this journey. Today we took pictures on the red couch here at the White Swan. It is an adoption tradition. We dressed Alissa up in a red Mandarin dress we bought for her. What a beautiful little girl!  Afterwards we finished up some last minuting shopping. After lunch it was back to our room. Alissa took a good nap before we had to wake her for our consulate/visa appointment. At 2:45pm we were off. There we got Alissa's visa and took our oath. We now can come back into the country! Our last supper we enjoyed with 2 other Guangxi families--Italian again. It was great!
We just wanted to take this time to say thanks to everyone for their comments on our blog, emails, and prayers. You'll never know how much we have appreciated them! Thank you so much for following along on our journey. It's been an experience of a lifetime. We have been humbled by your following of this journey. God has been so faithful to us! We can't wait to see you all soon. Next post...from good old Lititz, Pa! We love you guys!

The journey is coming to an end but the memories will last a lifetime. I am sure you are all ready to get home and sleep in your beds and Alissa gets to see her beautiful new room. How exciting that will be. I am sure the tears will be flowing tomorrow night when you see everyone, another special moment in your journey. Hopefully I'll see you before Thanksgiving (and hope Mom has the coffee ready!) but if not,
I'll keep checking your site for updates. Hugs and kisses for you all - may God continue to bless you, today and always. Tracy

Dearest Kreiders,
It is hard to believe that your time in China is coming to an end. What a journey you have had! We thank you from the bottom of hearts for taking us along with you. We were blessed to have you share this very personal experience with us. Thank you, thank you.
What a beautiful little daughter you have. I must admit, she does look like she could be a "little spit-fire".
Benjamin, this little lady is lucky beyond words to have you for a big brother.
Brent & Kristin, dreams do come true and prayers are always answered.
We can't wait to meet her!
Make extra room at the Thanksgiving table, YEAH!!
Love and Smiles,
The Harnish Clan

Matthew just walked into the spare bedroom and was looking at the pictures of Alissa and your latest blog with me. He said that Alissa looks like she has been with you for years!! (from the mouth of a 10 year old)

Thank you, Kreiders, for giving us the opportunity to "travel along with you" to receive your precious daughter, Alissa. It has been an exciting journey, but one that really is only beginning. We pray that your flight back to the U.S. will be uneventful and that you all will be able to sleep some. Can't wait for that soon-coming day we will be able to see you again, and to introduce our Caylei to Alissa :)

Love & Prayers,
Sam, Lynette, Chelsea & Caylei

Brent, Kristin, Benjamin, and Alissa -

WELCOME HOME! As I am typing this you are probably in the air or on a layover somewhere in the US! Brent - I can't wait to hear how all the air rides went, and of course food stories! Alissa looks so comfortable and happy (I had not doubt) and I'm sure she is excited to see her room! Benjamin - I bet you can't wait to sleep in your OWN BED! Thank you all for allowing all of us to go along on your journey! The pictures and posts from China have been awesome - I felt like I was there with you without the long plane ride! Can't wait to see all of you and see those four wide smiles in person!

Dreams do come true and prayer does change lives!

Love to you all! tami
