I can't believe I'm typing 10th Birthday! I don't know where these past 10 years have gone. I just know that they have flown by incredibly fast!!! This morning we started his day off with a baseball game (pic of him on 3rd getting ready to steal home and than closing on the pitcher's mound). Benjamin had a great game! He made a double play himself... catching a pop fly and then tagging a runner out. What a play! Yes we are bragging a little bit, but we are just a little proud! :-) After the game we headed down to the Black Rock auction. It was a fun way to support Black Rock Retreat. Black Rock is where Benjamin attends a week of summer camp. Afterwards we headed home for Benjamin's birthday meal. He picked burgers on the grill along with a favorite pasta salad. Of course we had to sing Happy Birthday too... and some presents from his sister (He has been enjoying the new bike with gears we got him 2 weeks ago). Alissa couldn't wait to give Benjamin the big Sponge Bob card she picked out all by herself. She was so excited. Early to bed for little sister... a movie night for the rest of us. It was a special time for the 3 of us! Off to bed now... party time tomorrow! Tomorrow the grandparents and great-grandparents are coming over for cake and ice cream. Alissa is excited too for the party. She keeps saying "surprise"... even though it isn't. We're all excited to celebrate this time with Benjamin! More pics to come from the party.
