Surprise!

Before 1st service (our family shared during both services of our upcoming trip and had a time of prayer then too) our adoption group had an amazing time of prayer for our family. Afterwards Gary asked if this was a special day. Of course I answered Alissa's b-day. They asked if they could sing Happy Birthday and we said yes. After I was done crying through the song, Gary and Sonda's (they lead our adoption grp) daughter came into the room with balloons. After that gifts were brought in. Our group had a surprise b-day party for Alissa. Needless to say the tears came flowing again. What a special surprise! Thank you Sonda for planning this special morning and thanks to our group of wonderful friends! You have been such a great support to us through this journey! And yes, we are waiting to open the gifts until Alissa comes home (as hard as that is for some of us :-))
